How an order runs

Five steps on one schedule. You see the ship date on the day the order is confirmed, and you hear from us the day anything moves.

See the full process
  1. Hands hold a caliper to a small part on a drawing
    Day 0Step 01 / 05

    Drawing in

Send a STEP file or a PDF. An engineer reads it the same day and flags anything that would add cost or time.

  2. A row of machined aluminium housings on an inspection table
    Day 1Step 02 / 05

    Quote and plan

Within 24 hours you have a fixed price, a ship date and the plan we will build to. Nothing starts until you approve it.

  3. Gloved hands hold a small titanium part over a tray of them
    Day 3Step 03 / 05

    First article

The first part is made, measured against every dimension on the drawing and signed off before the batch runs.

  4. A technician works on a welded aluminium battery tray
    Day 4Step 04 / 05

    Production

Machined, welded and assembled under one roof, with a check at every station and a record for every batch.

  5. Vans being loaded at the dispatch dock at dusk
    Day 5Step 05 / 05

    On your dock

Packed to your spec, labelled for your line and shipped with its inspection report and certificates.

Before we start

Six things make a quote exact. Send what you have: we ask for the rest the same day.

  1. A 3D model

The geometry we program from. Native files are welcome, a neutral format is enough.

    STEPParasolidIGES

  2. A 2D drawing

Tolerances, threads, surface finish and the datums you measure from. Where model and drawing disagree, the drawing wins.

    PDFDXF

  3. Material and finish

The grade and temper, and any coating or heat treatment, by standard if you have one.

    e.g. 6061-T6, anodised

  4. Quantities

How many now, how many a year and whether you want them in one batch or called off.

    PrototypeBatchCall-off

  5. The date you need them

A real date lets us tell you on day one whether it can be met, and what a faster one would cost.

  6. Paperwork

The inspection level and certificates your customer asks for.

Revisions

It happens on one order in five. This is what we do, every time.

  1. Same hour

    Send the new revision

Mail the revised drawing with the order number. Work on the affected features stops the same hour.

  2. Inside 24 h

We tell you what it moves

An engineer compares the revisions and sends the effect on price and ship date in writing.

  3. Your call

    You approve, we restart

Nothing is cut to the new revision until you say so. Parts already made to the old one are yours to keep or scrap.
